We can help you gain access to US markets through our accredited testing services.
Eurofins York can help you gain access to US markets in a quick and cost effective manner through our accredited testing services.
Starting in 2017, the FCC has mandated that the testing of intentional and unintentional radiators / transmitters must be performed in an accredited laboratory. Eurofins York laboratories are accredited by UKAS to the requirements of the FCC and are designated as Conformity Assessment Bodies under the EMC Sectoral Annex of the EU-US Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA).
The FCC imposes significant penalties on manufacturers for non-compliance with its regulations. These can include the ceasing of distribution of such non-compliant products in addition to fines levied on the manufacturer.
Unintentional Radiators | EMC Testing
Any digital device that operates at 9 kHz or higher is regulated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) under its Part 15 or Part 18 regulations.
There are two primary parts of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) that cover EMC
- FCC Part 15B – Radio frequency devices (non-intentional radiators)
- FCC Part 18 – Industrial, scientific and medical equipment
International Radiators | Radio testing
- FCC Title 47 CFR Part 15 also covers devices which are intentional radiators in subpart 15C
